In no particular order, here are 10 things from Amazon that have been making my quarantine a little bit better.

  1. ProsourceFit Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set - I should be on the payroll at this point - I’ve gotten at least 5 people to buy this mat in the past week. You don’t need to spend $200 on an acupressure mat because this $20 one works great. I recommend using it without a shirt on for maximum benefit. It is uncomfortable for the first 5 or 10 minutes and then endorphins begin to flow and you drift into a relaxed, pain free state.

  2. SuperFat Cookies - These cookies are delicious, low-carb and made with high quality ingredients like almonds and grassfed butter. I’ve only tried the chocolate chip, but I love them. They come in pre-portioned packets (with 2 servings), so if you tend to go overboard with desserts these are a good choice.

  3. Red Light Bulbs - As you probably know, blue light suppresses melatonin production and can negatively impact your sleep. These red light bulbs are great to put in your bedroom lamps to create a relaxing ambiance (or make it look like you’re incubating human reptiles) and supply reading light before bed that won’t make it hard to fall asleep . Also the Skinny Confidential shared a great hack to turn your phone screen red at night which is much more effective than the night shift mode on the iPhone.

  4. Trampoline - Before social distancing, one of my favorite workout classes was a trampoline sculpt class. It’s a really fun way to get in some cardio at home (without spending thousands of dollars on a bike or a treadmill) and it’s great for lymphatic drainage (google the health bounce). I started off with this $70 trampoline from Amazon that was completely sufficient, but it is a little higher impact on your body because of the springs. Since I loved my trampoline so much, I recently upgraded to the Jumpsport 350 Pro that is super low impact and even more fun to bounce on.

  5. LYTEshow Electrolytes - These are some of my favorite electrolytes. They’re effective and they don’t have any weird crap in them. They’re great after intense exercise, if you’ve been drinking your way through quarantine, or if you’re on a lower carb diet.

  6. BhuFit Paleo Protein Bars - I love these bars for an on-the-go snack. They taste really good, and they’re made with clean ingredients. Also check out their refrigerated keto bars. They are probably the most delicious protein bar on the market coming from a protein bar aficionado.

  7. Sports Research L-Theanine - This is a high quality L-theanine supplement. See my post for additional information on L-theanine.

  8. High Carbon Stainless Steel Chef’s Knife - I would say a good knife is the most essential cooking tool. This is a really great quality knife for the price.

  9. Maji Sport Trigger Point Massage Ball - This is essentially a mini foam roller for you to target tight areas. It helps relieve muscle pain, and it’s also really great for rolling out tight feet.

  10. Moonshine Digestive Bitters - If you are dealing with uncomfortable digestive symptoms or you suspect you might have low stomach acid, these are a gentle remedy. They are also good for helping maintain healthy blood sugar levels as well as supporting your liver.
